(Part Two) Recreated by Grace: The Identity and Vocation of the Church in Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians
What is the church? What practices should naturally flow from its identity? And why does this vision matter for the life of God’s people today? This two-part course explores these questions through a close reading of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. If you haven’t taken Part One of this course, we would recommend taking Part One before you take Part Two. Part Two focuses on the last three chapters of the letter, attending carefully to the application of Paul’s theological vision of the church as the people of God. In these closing chapters, Paul expands on the implications for the church based on its identity in Christ. Accordingly, this second part centers on the vocation of the church—a vocation rooted in God’s saving work in Christ.
